Self-Care

Self-care is important for everyone. It's a skill we often need to learn because it may feel selfish to put our own well-being first.  On Sunday, June 26th, a fundraising event around self-care was hosted by Posh Beauty Bar and Wear Your Label with proceeds to Liberty Lane. 

Wear Your Label is a clothing and accessory company that is breaking down the stigma around mental illness.  You can "wear your label" on you as a way to bring the issues out in the open.  In fact one of the t-shirts states, "Self-Care isn't Selfish".  The company started here in Fredericton, and they are now selling to an international market.  Liberty Lane thanks WYL for their support; they are donating 10% of proceeds from their merchandise sold at the event and on-line!

As for Posh Beauty Bar, this place knows how to pamper! Self-care is easy to achieve when you stop in for services at Posh.  Owner, Maria Hanna, is friendly, warm and excited about all of us feeling our best.  They were the hostesses with the mostesses!
